Madrid. The Minister of Transport, Óscar Puente, is meeting this Thursday with the railway sector unions – CCOO, UGT, and Semaf – to reach agreements that will avoid the planned strike next week, from 9 to 11 February. This meeting follows one held the previous day at the ministry’s facilities, which did not result in any resolution regarding the strike, called to demand greater safety and an increase in maintenance. Sources from the sector highlighted that the meeting took place in a positive atmosphere, with a desire to continue the dialogue and reach an agreement that addresses the group’s demands.
Puente meets for the second day with the railway unions to try to avoid a strike in the sector.
