Pilar Alegría, the PSOE candidate for the presidency of Aragón, has stated that she will not abstain to prevent the inclusion of Vox in a government led by the PP. She emphasises that the PSOE is the «only political alternative» capable of stopping right-wing forces and proposing a government that cares for the citizens of Aragón. Alegría highlighted in an interview that her experience in the position of Minister of Education is a knowledge she wishes to offer to the people of Aragón. She has rejected the idea that her relationship with the Government of Spain has impacted the campaign on 8 February and argued that her experience in the Executive has provided her with better management skills and a broader vision to lead the regional Government. Moreover, she has stressed that her candidacy comes from internal party procedures. She recalled that a year ago she won the primaries to become the general secretary of the PSOE in Aragón and subsequently participated in a second set of primaries to be the candidate in the regional elections.
Alegría will not hold back to prevent Vox from returning to government, she is the alternative.
