The Civil Guard is searching for a woman who fell into a river in Sayalonga on Wednesday during a storm. The rescue team is working along 5 kilometres of the Turvilla river, from Sayalonga to Algarrobo. A helicopter has joined the search along the riverbank, with mountain personnel from the Civil Guard available to descend into difficult areas. The woman, who is approximately 40 years old, fell into the river while trying to save her dog, which had fallen into the water during a walk with another woman, who alerted authorities about the situation.
