Iran claims that it approaches the negotiations this Friday with the United States in good faith and resolutely.

Tehran (EFE) – The Iranian Foreign Minister, Abas Araqchi, stated that he approaches the scheduled nuclear talks with the United States this Friday in Oman with good faith and in defence of our rights. «We participate in the negotiations and defend our rights,» affirmed the diplomat before meeting with the White House’s special envoy, Steve Witkoff. Araqchi maintained that «commitments must be respected» and emphasised the importance of mutual respect to achieve an agreement. «Equality, mutual respect, and shared interests are fundamental and form the basis of a sustainable agreement,» he stated. The Iranian Foreign Minister arrived in Muscat in the early hours, accompanied by the Deputy Foreign Minister, Majid Takht Ravanchi, and the spokesperson for the Foreign Ministry, Ismail Baghaei.
