The President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, has criticised the «cynicism» of the PP and its leader, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, who «attempt to give lessons on gender equality», but do not demand the resignation of the mayor of Móstoles, Manuel Bautista, following a sexual harassment complaint filed by a former councillor. During the closing campaign event for the Aragon elections in Zaragoza, Sánchez referred to the behaviour of the PP in Madrid, which suggests that they have tried to «conceal» the complaint of the former councillor who accuses Bautista of sexual and labour harassment, accusations that the mayor has rejected. «We see them trying to give lessons when what they really do is shame themselves by supporting the harasser and not standing by the victim, whom they accuse,» stated the socialist leader, who reminded that no party is exempt from facing such situations, but emphasised the importance of the response given to them. He has criticised members of the popular party for aligning with the «harasser» instead of with the «victim of harassment». Additionally, he has accused Feijóo, the President of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, and Bautista of «lying» in their statements on this matter. He questioned why the leader of the popular party has not yet demanded the resignation of the mayor and the leadership of the PP in Madrid, suggesting that this is due to his fear of facing a situation similar to that of Pablo Casado, who denounced the corruption of Ayuso and was expelled from the party the next day.
