Madrid (EFE).- This Saturday, the Prime Minister, Pedro Sánchez, chaired the meeting of the Risk Assessment Unit, which is monitoring the development of storms Leonardo and Marta, which are affecting areas of the Peninsula, from the facilities of the Directorate General for Civil Protection and Emergencies in Madrid. Present at the meeting were the Third Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Ecological Transition and Demographic Challenge, Sara Aagesen, and the Minister of the Interior, Fernando Grande-Marlaska. Civil Protection officials informed Sánchez about the current situation and the actions being taken in response to this climate emergency, as well as the coordination with public administrations and entities involved in its management. Sánchez expressed that he is attentive to the development of the storms and thanked those working in @proteccioncivil for being alert and at the service of the population.
