The Government will be attentive this Saturday to the evolution of the hydrological situation.

Madrid (EFE).- This Saturday, the Prime Minister, Pedro Sánchez, along with four ministers, is monitoring the development of storms Leonardo and Marta, which are impacting the southwest and west of the peninsula, and plans to visit the emergency coordination centres. According to the Moncloa website, Sánchez will lead the meeting of the Risk Verification Unit to monitor the progression of the storms and their effects at the headquarters of the Directorate-General for Civil Protection and Emergencies in Madrid. Afterwards, he will head to the National Emergency Monitoring and Coordination Centre (Cenem), where he will be accompanied by the Third Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Ecological Transition and Demographic Challenge, Sara Aagesen, as well as the Minister of the Interior, Fernando Grande-Marlaska. The First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, María Jesús Montero, is heading to the Torre del Águila Dam in El Palmar de Troya (Seville) due to the storms that have affected Andalusia. Later, she will visit the Advanced Command Post of 112 and some areas impacted by the bad weather. Minister Aagesen will also visit the office of the Tagus Hydrographic Confederation to follow the weather and water conditions in Madrid. The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has reported that a new storm, named Marta, is expected to arrive this Saturday, following the one named Leonardo, which has brought rain.
