This Wednesday, the President of the Spanish Government, Pedro Sánchez, arrived in New Delhi to attend a summit on Artificial Intelligence and to hold several meetings, including a meeting with the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi. The Spanish Air Force plane that transported Sánchez and his delegation arrived at the airport of the Indian capital at 07:45 hours (02:17 GMT). The first scheduled activity on his agenda will be a meeting with Indian investors, to whom he will present the opportunities that Spain offers for their businesses. Afterwards, he will head to the Presidential Palace to meet with Modi. This is Sánchez’s second visit to India; in his first visit, in October 2024, he also met with his Indian counterpart and both were present at the opening of a plant by the Spanish company Airbus and the Indian Tata. In that meeting, political and economic relations between the two countries were strengthened, and it was decided to commemorate this year as the Spain-India Dual Year, in celebration of the 70th anniversary of the beginning of their relations.
