Fourteen autonomous communities and the city of Melilla are on alert for winds of up to 130 kilometres per hour, maritime storm conditions, and snow. Eight are on orange alert. The regions on alert are: Andalusia, Asturias, Balearic Islands, Cantabria, Catalonia, Galicia, Basque Country, and Valencian Community. There is also a yellow alert in Aragon, Castile and León, Castile-La Mancha, Region of Murcia, La Rioja, Navarre, and Melilla. A mass of cold and humid air is expected to arrive from the northwest, along with the entry of high pressures from the southwest.
