Trump says he will impose a global tariff of 10% following the annulment of his duties by the Supreme Court.

Washington. This Friday, the President of the United States, Donald Trump, announced that he will implement a global tariff of 10% after the Supreme Court decided to partially annul the tariffs. He stated that he will carry it out «in three days» under legislation from 1974. “I will issue an order to establish a global tariff of 10% under Section 122 of the Trade Act of 1974, in addition to the tariffs that are already being applied. We are also beginning investigations under Section 301 and others, in order to safeguard our country from the trade practices of other nations and companies,” Trump asserted. The 1974 trade legislation allows the president to impose tariffs of up to 15% for a period of 150 days. Trump detailed that he will use three laws that will complicate the implementation of these tariffs, but will allow him to continue with his economic strategy despite the Supreme Court ruling.
