The four parties that make up Sumar in the Government have confirmed their intention to present themselves together in the upcoming general elections with a new political project. There is no defined leadership and they are open to collaborating with other forces such as Podemos. Movimiento Sumar, IU, Más Madrid and the commons held an event at the Círculo de Bellas Artes in the capital, highlighting the absence of the second Deputy Prime Minister of the Government, Yolanda Díaz, who decided to give prominence to the parties in the presentation of the restructuring of Sumar. Representatives from the four parties communicated a unified message: they will unite again to try to stop the PP and Vox, and they will do so with a new political project, given that in 2023 they had to form the coalition hastily and have now been working on the new alliance calmly. However, they made it clear that this event is a starting point, as they invite other left-wing parties, including Podemos, although they did not name them directly. For their part, the purples have stated that they are not willing to form a coalition with Podemos.
The Sumar coalition is renewing itself with a «stronger» project and an outstretched hand to Podemos.
