Valencia.- This week, representatives from associations affected by the flood of 29th October 2024 will present themselves before the investigative committee of the Les Corts Valencianes, 482 days after the tragedy that claimed the lives of 230 people, and after having participated in the European Parliament, Congress, and the Provincial Council of Valencia. The Les Corts Valencianes were the first entity to give the green light to the formation of an investigative committee into the flood on 28th November 2024. However, this was not established until 27th January 2025, and its work plan, proposed by the PP and Vox, was not approved until May. In June, this plan was extended due to criticism from the victims’ associations.
