The British police have arrested former minister Peter Mandelson over his ties to Epstein.

London (EFE).- This Monday, the Police of the United Kingdom arrested former Labour minister Peter Mandelson for questioning over suspicions of inappropriate conduct in his position, as he allegedly provided confidential official information to Jeffrey Epstein. Scotland Yard clarified in a statement that a 72-year-old man was detained at his home in Camden, although they did not disclose his identity. The BBC broadcast live the moment Mandelson got into a police car. The Metropolitan Police of London reported that Mandelson’s arrest occurred after inspections were carried out at two locations: one in London and another in Wiltshire. Mandelson, who held ministerial positions in Labour governments and served as European Commissioner for Trade from 2004 to 2008, was appointed ambassador to Washington in February 2025 by the current Prime Minister, Keir Starmer. However, he was dismissed seven months later when his connections with Epstein were revealed.
