Madrid. This Monday, the Ministry of Equality has sent a set of suggestions to the Judiciary and the Public Prosecutor’s Office to strengthen the protection of victims of gender violence. Among these recommendations is the increase in the distance of restriction for aggressors through the use of bracelets, following the ten homicides that have occurred this year, of which in six cases there were already previous complaints. Sources from the Ministry of Equality have informed EFE that the suggestions focus on addressing certain aspects that hinder the effectiveness of the Cometa devices.
Equality proposes improvements to the Prosecutor’s Office and the Judiciary for the protection of victims.
