The judge requests Adif to return the material from Adamuz in its possession and to avoid incurring criminal liability.

The magistrate in charge of the investigation into the accident in Adamuz has requested that the Administrator of Railway Infrastructure return the material it has in its possession, in order to avoid criminal responsibilities. In a document accessed by EFE, the judge of the Court of First Instance and Instruction number two of Montoro responds to the communication sent by the investigative unit of the Guardia Civil in Córdoba, which indicated that Adif removed material from the accident site without having requested it. In response to the investigators’ request, the judge has ordered Adif to refrain from carrying out any actions related to the extraction and transfer of the relevant material for the investigation of the case, as well as from performing any tests on the extracted material, unless it has prior authorisation from a judge. Additionally, she requests the return of the material that it has in its possession, warning that failure to comply could result in criminal responsibilities.
