Pablo Bustinduy, the Minister of Social Rights, Consumption and the 2030 Agenda, has stated that he will implement a regulation that will prohibit the sale of energy drinks to those under 16 years of age. This restriction will also apply to those under 18 in relation to drinks containing more than 32 milligrams of caffeine per 100 millilitres. The minister has stated that these energy drinks pose a health risk to young people.
