Tehran/Geneva.- Today, the third round of negotiations between Iran and the United States took place, according to Oman’s Foreign Minister, Badr bin Hamad al Busaidi, who is acting as a mediator. He reported that the talks will resume once the delegations present a report on what was discussed upon their return to their respective capitals. A forthcoming «technical level» meeting is anticipated for next week in Vienna. Iran and the United States have begun a new round of indirect negotiations regarding Iran’s nuclear programme. The Iranian side has presented a proposal to the Americans. This proposal was delivered through Oman’s Foreign Minister, Badr bin Hamad al Busaidi. Before commencing this third round, he met with the Director of the International Atomic Energy Agency, Rafael Grossi, to discuss his potential role should an agreement be reached on the inspection of nuclear facilities in Iran.
