The Attorney General of the State, Teresa Peramato, has promoted the two prosecutors closest to the former Attorney General Álvaro García Ortiz in the Technical Secretariat to positions in the Supreme Court: Ana García León will take up the role of head of the Criminal section, where Diego Villafañe will also join as a prosecutor. This Friday, a meeting of the Full Council of Prosecutors was held, which acts as an advisory body to the Public Prosecutor’s Office. In this session, appointments at the discretion of the senior prosecution management were discussed, for which candidates were presented. However, no applications were received for the leadership positions in the prosecutor’s offices of Cuenca and Lugo, so these will be reconvened.
