Brussels. This Friday, Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission, announced the entry into force of the trade section of the association agreement between the European Union and Mercosur, after Argentina and Uruguay completed their ratification. «I have mentioned it before, when they are ready, we will be ready too.» Thus, in recent weeks, I have discussed this matter with the Member States and with the members of the European Parliament. With this in mind, the Commission will now move forward with the implementation.
