The USS Gerald R. Ford will arrive this Friday off the northern coast of Israel along with its escort group, as part of the United States’ military presence in the Middle East in light of the possibility of an attack on Iran. According to reports from Israeli media, the aircraft carrier departed yesterday from the Greek island of Crete after making a stop for refuelling at a US naval base.
The world’s largest aircraft carrier arrives in Israel and joins the US deployment amid tensions with Iran.
