‘Los domingos’ triumphs at an awards ceremony where ‘Sirat’ takes home six technical awards.

Barcelona (Spain) (EFE).- The winner of the 40th edition of the Goya Awards is ‘Los domingos’, directed by Alauda Ruiz de Azúa, which won the awards for Best Film, Best Direction, and Best Original Screenplay. ‘Sirat’, directed by Oliver Laxe, won six technical awards. During the ceremony, the International Goya was awarded to Susan Sarandon. Ruiz de Azúa’s film also won the awards for Best Actress for Patricia López Arnáiz and Best Supporting Actress for Nagore Aramburu, achieving a total of five awards. Laxe’s film, nominated for two Oscars, received six out of the eleven Goyas for which it was nominated, including Best Original Music, Sound, Production Direction, Cinematography, Editing, and Art Direction.
