NATO’s defences intercept an Iranian ballistic missile launched towards Turkey.

This Wednesday, NATO defences in Turkey intercepted an Iranian missile in the eastern Mediterranean, with fragments of the munition landing in the south of the country, causing no injuries, according to the Turkish government. The Turkish Ministry of Defence reported that a ballistic missile launched from Iran, which was heading towards Turkish airspace after passing through Iraq and Syria, was intercepted by NATO’s air and missile defence systems. A fragment of a projectile landed in the municipality of Dörtyol, in Hatay province.
