Mérida (EFE).- The Vox Parliamentary Group will not support María Guardiola in her candidacy to preside over the Junta of Extremadura during the first vote that will take place this Wednesday in the Assembly, which requires an absolute majority, due to the lack of a pact that ensures a «change» in policies and «guarantees» for their compliance. «The decision will be clear, it will be either a yes or a no, as there is no room for ambiguity,» they stated. «If an agreement is reached, the response will be affirmative, and if not, it will be negative. At this moment, as you well know, there is no agreement,» declared Óscar Fernández, spokesperson for this formation, during his speech at the investiture debate plenary. However, he indicated that they are still open to reaching that agreement based on proposals that, according to the PP, are well understood. Thus, the deadline for negotiation is set for this Friday, when, after 48 hours, a second attempt will be made where only a simple majority will be required, which could be achieved with Vox’s abstention.
