The death toll from the air offensive in Lebanon rises to 294 and the number of injured surpasses one thousand.

Beirut, (EFE).- The number of deaths from Israeli bombings in Lebanon has reached 294 since Monday, with over a thousand injured. This increase is due to an incident in the eastern part of the country that resulted in 41 deaths. The Emergency Operations Centre of the Lebanese Ministry of Public Health reported that since the start of the air offensive six days ago, 294 people have died and 1,023 have been injured in various locations. The number of casualties has risen since last night, when an incursion by Israeli helicopters occurred in Nabi Chit, which Israel claims aimed to gather information about its pilot Ron Arad, missing since 1986. Israel is carrying out an air offensive in the south and east of Lebanon, as well as in peripheral areas of southern Beirut, while Hizbollah continues to carry out attacks in northern Israel. The confrontation has forced more than 110,000 people to move to official shelters, while a similar number is estimated to have found refuge in streets, family homes, or rental apartments.
