This Sunday, two members of Iran’s Assembly of Experts stated that they have appointed the new supreme leader of the country, who will succeed Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who was assassinated, although they have yet to reveal his identity. «The selection of the leader has already been made and it has been decided who will be the leader,» stated Ayatollah Ahmad Alamolhoda, a member of the Assembly of Experts, an organisation made up of 88 clerics that is elected every four years through voting.
