Óscar Sánchez, former head of the UDEF in Madrid, has been accused of collaborating with a drug trafficking organisation that brought tonnes of cocaine into Spain. This Monday, he will appear before the judge after more than a year in pre-trial detention since his arrest in November 2024. The judge of the National Court, Francisco de Jorge, will question him via videoconference a few days after suggesting that he should be tried in a ruling in which he increased to €32.6 million the amount that this inspector allegedly received for the assistance provided to the network.
