Moscow, (EFE) – On Monday, Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed various suggestions for a political and diplomatic agreement concerning the Iran conflict with his American counterpart, Donald Trump, over the phone. Yuri Ushakov, an international policy adviser at the Kremlin, reported that «the president of Russia presented options for a political-diplomatic settlement of the Iranian conflict.» He also mentioned that these proposals arose from discussions held over the past week with Iranian leader Masud Pezeshkian and other leaders of Gulf nations. According to the Russian diplomat, this was the first conversation between the two presidents since December 2025 and lasted about an hour.
