The second electoral debate in Castilla y León allowed the candidate of the PP, Alfonso Fernández Mañueco, and that of Vox, Carlos Pollán, to express their differences, exchanging criticisms on the issue of immigration. During his participation in the debate broadcast by the regional television CyLTV, Pollán demanded an apology from Mañueco for his comments about Vox’s supposed intention to leave people adrift at sea. Mañueco refused to do so and displayed a sign with a statement attributed to the national leader of Vox, Santiago Abascal, in which he described the Open Arms as a «slave ship» that should be confiscated and sunk.
