In 2025, transactions for the buying and selling of homes increased by 5%, reaching a total of 752,098 operations, the highest figure since 2007, according to information from the Ministry of Housing and Urban Agenda. Buying and selling transactions have shown growth for two years, after experiencing a decrease of almost 11% in 2023 due to rising interest rates and the increasing cost of credit. Purchases of second-hand homes saw an increase in 2025, with a rise of 5.3% compared to the previous year, totalling 667,959. As for new homes, their growth was 2.1%, totalling 62,758 units.
