Brent rises by 9.22% and increases to 100 dollars following threats from the new Iranian supreme leader.

This Thursday, the price of Brent crude oil for May delivery rose by more than 9%, exceeding 100 dollars at the close of trading on the London futures market. This increase followed statements from the new Iranian Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Jameneí, who claimed that the closure of the Strait of Hormuz should be extended. North Sea crude ended the day at the Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) in London at 100.46 dollars, marking its highest level since the onset of the war in Ukraine in 2022, and 9.22% above the previous session’s closing price of 91.98 dollars.
