Berlin (EFE).- This Thursday, the vessel ‘Source Blessing’ from the company Hapag Lloyd suffered damage in the Strait of Hormuz due to shrapnel explosion. No crew member was injured, according to a company spokesperson. Hapag Lloyd’s spokesperson, Nils Haupt, commented that the ‘Source Blessing’ was hit by fragments. The crew on board is safe and has extinguished the fire. Haupt indicated that the affected ship, a container ship operating under the Liberian flag, has been leased by the Danish company Maersk. According to the maritime tracking website MarineTraffic, the ship is owned by a Chinese proprietor and is currently located off the coast of the United Arab Emirates.
