This Tuesday, the Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, stated that the recent assassination of two Iranian officials is weakening this regime with the intention of offering the Iranian people the chance to overthrow it. In a video released by his office, Netanyahu referred to Israel’s announcement regarding the elimination, in an attack carried out on Monday in Iran, of the Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran, Ali Lariyani, and the commander of the paramilitary Basij militia, Gholamreza Soleimani, who is under the command of the Revolutionary Guard Corps. «We are weakening this regime in the hope that the Iranian people will have the opportunity to overthrow it.» It will not happen instantly nor will it be easy. However, if we maintain perseverance, we will provide them with the possibility to control their future.»
