This Wednesday, the leader of the Executive, Pedro Sánchez, defended in Congress his Government’s actions regarding the conflict in the Middle East and expressed his hope of reaching agreements with political parties on the response plan that the Council of Ministers will approve this Friday. For the first time, the full Congress has addressed the debate on the conflict that arose following the attack by the United States and Israel on Iran. Sánchez has reaffirmed his stance against the war, while the leader of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, has accused him of trying to use the issue as a «smoke screen.»
