The Iranian embassy in Pakistan rejected the proposal for negotiations from the United States and any kind of dialogue with Washington. This stance complicates the mediation efforts led by Islamabad to end the conflict in the Middle East. Iran views the request for negotiations from the US as an attempt at manipulation to establish ties and resume attacks, shortly after Pakistan announced its willingness to act as a mediator between Iran, the United States, and Israel. The Iranian diplomatic representation stated that «trust is nonexistent after two rounds of attacks during the negotiations» and that «with threats and a totalitarian discourse, there is no possibility.» These claims come following the confirmation from Pakistan that it is leading a mediation initiative in collaboration with Turkey and Egypt, with the aim of ending the conflict between the three powers.
Iran labels the dialogue with the USA as a «deception» and cools the mediation attempt by Pakistan.
