Tehran.- On Tuesday, Iran announced the appointment of Mohamad Bagher Zolghadr as the new secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, replacing Ali Larijani, who was assassinated by Israel last week. «Mohamad Baqer Zolgadr has been appointed secretary of the Supreme National Security Council with the approval of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution and by a decree from President Masud Pezeshkian,» communicated Mehdi Tabatabaei, the deputy head of the presidential communications office, on X.
