The PP and Vox say that the negotiations in Extremadura are going well but deny that there is a preliminary agreement.

Mérida.- Abel Bautista, Secretary General of the PP in Extremadura, stated that discussions between his party and Vox have progressed. However, he denied that a preliminary agreement has been reached, something that has been confirmed by Vox. Óscar Fernández Calle, a representative of Vox in the Assembly of Extremadura, has declared that there has been no agreement, although they feel satisfied with today’s meeting in Mérida and are optimistic about the possibility of reaching an understanding. Bautista defended the idea of not establishing a government immediately, as the important thing is to reach an agreement that encompasses the next four years of the legislature, backed by budgets, to prevent instability. The leader of the PP revealed that they have discussed tax cuts, housing issues, the Almaraz nuclear plant, and the irrigation plan for Tierra de Barros.
