Today, the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, is presenting himself before the full Congress to justify the actions of the royal decree law that the Government has approved to mitigate the consequences of the war in Iran. This decree will be ratified on Thursday by the full chamber, as the Executive has secured the support of Junts. The measures came into effect on Sunday after being approved on Friday in an extraordinary Council of Ministers, although they need to be ratified by Congress. The programme has a budget of 5 billion euros and includes tax reductions on electricity, gas, and fuels; additionally, it provides discounts for vulnerable groups and assistance to the most affected sectors.
