Noelia Castillo, a 25-year-old woman, passed away this Thursday after undergoing euthanasia in Sant Pere de Ribes, following a legal battle that lasted more than a year and a half. The organisation Abogados Cristianos, which has defended Noelia Castillo’s father in his legal appeals, has stated that the euthanasia took place at the Hospital Residencia Sant Camil, where the young woman was hospitalised. The young woman, who suffered from paraplegia, was approved for euthanasia in July 2024. The Guarantee and Evaluation Commission of Catalonia validated her case in accordance with the requirements established by the euthanasia law.
