Madrid. This Thursday at 18:00 hours, the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, will hold a press conference at the Palace of Moncloa to announce the modifications in the Executive due to the resignation of María Jesús Montero. Sánchez will need to inform who will take on the responsibilities that Montero held in the Council of Ministers, both in her role as First Vice President and in her function as Minister of Finance. Once the changes are announced, the individuals taking on those roles will have to swear their positions at the Palace of Zarzuela before the king, a procedure that could take place this Friday. The transfer of portfolios will occur, and next Tuesday, Sánchez will convene his Government for the first time after the redistribution of competences during the Council of Ministers meeting. Sánchez has gone to Moncloa from the Congress, where he participated in the voting of the royal decree law that contains the Government’s measures to address the repercussions of the war in Iran, a plan that has been approved by the full chamber.
