Washington/Miami. This Saturday marked the beginning of the third day of demonstrations of the ‘No Kings’ movement in the United States, with organisers anticipating over 3,300 meetings, marking the largest mobilisation against President Donald Trump, the war in Iran, and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). A coalition of around 400 organisations, including Amnesty International, Indivisible, labour unions, and the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), aims to surpass the figures from the previous two editions, which had 7 million participants and 2,700 events last October, as well as 5 million demonstrators at 2,100 locations in June 2025. The demonstrations, taking place in all 50 states of the nation, criticise the authoritarianism observed in President Trump’s second term, particularly concerning the abuses of ICE and immigration actions, which in January led to the deaths of two American citizens in Minnesota.
