A member of the UN peacekeeping force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) lost their life and another suffered injuries in an attack of unknown origin, according to the UN agency. A UN soldier was killed overnight due to the explosion of a projectile at a UNIFIL base near Adchit Al Qusayr in southern Lebanon. Another soldier was injured, according to the peacekeeping force on X. The agency stated that it has no information about the origin of the projectile and has launched an investigation to determine the circumstances that led to the death.
