The leader stated that Iran was trying to «rehabilitate its nuclear programme,» which led to the need to «eliminate that threat.» He mentioned that the regime attempted to re-establish its nuclear programme, indicating that they had no intention of abandoning their goal of obtaining nuclear weapons. Trump also pointed out that they were accelerating the construction of conventional ballistic missile arsenals, and that they could soon have missiles capable of reaching the territory of the United States, Europe, and other parts of the world. Trump asserted that «the possibility of these terrorists possessing a nuclear weapon would represent a threat,» while justifying the military operation Epic Fury, carried out in collaboration with Israel, which has left the global economy on the brink of a crisis after more than a month of tensions. According to Trump, Iran was at the «threshold» of obtaining a nuclear weapon, which led to the decision to initiate bombings that will last for an additional two to three weeks.
