Barcelona (EFE).- This Thursday, a Turkish Airlines plane made an emergency landing at Barcelona Airport due to a bomb threat. The cause of the incident was a joke made via the mobile phone of a passenger. The aircraft, which was carrying 148 passengers and seven crew members, took off from Istanbul at 09:22 and arrived at its destination in El Prat at 10:57, with a delay of 30 minutes. The aircraft, which was escorted by a French fighter jet, landed and was taken to a secure area for inspection. The passenger disembarked and was taken to a security room, while the Civil Guard inspected the plane and confirmed that there were no explosives on board.
