The Minister of Foreign Affairs, José Manuel Albares, believes that Europe must unify its defence industry to possess its own deterrence capabilities and make progress towards the creation of a European army. In a conversation with EFE, Albares examines the current global situation and admits that the intervention of the United States in Venezuela, as well as its warnings about Greenland, represent an attempt to modify the rules of the international order.
Albares advocates moving towards a European army to «not rely on third parties».
