Madrid (EFE).- This Monday, Cantabria is under an orange alert due to snowfall expected to accumulate around 5 centimetres over a period of 24 hours at altitudes of 700-800 metres. Another ten communities are on yellow alert for snow. The regions are: Catalonia, Andalusia, Aragon, Asturias, both Castillas, Galicia, Madrid, Murcia, and the Valencian Community, according to the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet). The snowfall is affecting 27 roads at the beginning of Monday morning, of which seven belong to the main network. The General Directorate of Traffic (DGT) has reported that five roads have been closed to traffic in various sections.
