Today, all of Spain, except for the Canary Islands and the Basque Country, is on alert due to adverse weather conditions. Winds of up to 90 kilometres per hour are being recorded, as well as rain, waves, landslides, snowfalls and melting snow. Fifteen autonomous communities are under warning, of which six are at orange alert level and the others are at yellow level. The orange alert areas are Andalucía, Castilla y León, Castilla-La Mancha, and Extremadura. Galicia and the Region of Murcia are on alert due to maritime storms and rough sea conditions. Aragón, Asturias, the Balearic Islands, the Valencian Community, and Ceuta are also on yellow alert. The bad weather is affecting 46 roads, of which 19 are closed. The storm in Galicia has caused over 800 incidents related to rain and wind, including floods and falling branches and stones. An accident on the AP-9, near Oroso, involved between 12 and 14 vehicles, resulting in the total closure of the road in the direction of Santiago de Compostela.
