The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), led by Balendra Shah, has triumphed in Nepal’s general elections by securing the majority needed to establish a new government, thanks to the support of the «Generation Z». According to the Election Commission, the new party has achieved 106 out of 165 direct election seats and is leading in the counting of another 19. Furthermore, the RSP has garnered over 50% of the votes in the proportional representation group, ensuring it exceeds the threshold of 138 seats required to obtain a majority in a 275-member Parliament. Estimates suggest that Balen Shah’s party could secure up to 190 seats by the end of the count in the coming days.
