Zaragoza (EFE).- A total of 1,036,325 citizens from Aragon are called to participate in the elections at 999 polling stations that began operating this Sunday at 9:00 AM. The population will elect 67 representatives to the Cortes of Aragon in the first early and sole elections in the history of this autonomous community. The Government of Aragon is scheduled to present details on the opening of the polling stations at 10:00 AM. Subsequently, information on the voter turnout percentage will be provided at 11:15 AM, 2:15 PM, and 6:15 PM. The residents of Aragon are heading to the polls two and a half years after the May 2023 elections, which were called early by the president and candidate of the Popular Party, Jorge Azcón, after failing to reach a budgetary agreement with Vox. The elections will take place in 731 municipalities across Aragon, where 997 polling stations have been set up and 2,213 electoral tables established.
