Around 3,000 people are demonstrating in Barcelona for a decent Rodalies service.

Barcelona (EFE).- This afternoon, around 3,000 people took to the streets in central Barcelona to express their dissatisfaction with the Rodalies service and demand that Adif, Renfe, and public authorities ensure adequate rail transport. The demonstration began at França station and culminated at Sant Jaume square. This is the second protest held this Saturday, following one called at noon by independentist parties and organisations, which gathered around 8,000 people according to the Urban Guard, and 30,000 according to the organisers. The afternoon demonstration was organised by user groups of the rail service, including Promoció del Transport Públic, Dignitat a les Vies, Perquè no ens fotin el tren, Salvem l’R2Nord, Defensem el tren de l’Empordà, Trens i transports dignes Ebre i Priorat, Usuaris Avant Catalunya, Propera parada: Valls, and the Plataforma d’usuaris i usuàries del Transport públic del Baix Llobregat. This mobilisation received support from around 150 organisations, including Òmnium Cultural, the Tenants’ Union, neighbourhood associations, municipal entities, Catalan unions, and organisations like Greenpeace.
