The Government delegate in the Valencian Community, Pilar Bernabé, has reported that the ex-husband and father of the woman and girl who were murdered in Xilxes (Castellón) has been arrested as a suspect in the double homicide. The individual was initially arrested by the Civil Guard for violating a restraining order prohibiting him from being within 300 metres of his former partner. According to Bernabé, he could be presented before a judge between this Wednesday and Thursday. The delegate has indicated that the Civil Guard conducted an investigation for several hours. She also expressed her support for the relatives and friends of the victims, as well as the community of Xilxes. The bodies were found with evidence of violence in a house in this municipality of Castellón.
